Erica founded Fur de Lis Pet Care, LLC in 2025 after returning to her hometown of Mandeville, Louisiana. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science (Pre-Veterinary Medicine), Erica has spent the last decade working in the veterinary field as a veterinary technician. Most recently, she completed the doctor of veterinary medicine program at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. The idea for Fur de Lis Pet Care arose while caring for her own dog, Gumbo, during his recovery from knee surgery, when she realized how few professional pet sitting options exist that are truly equipped to care for pets with medical needs like post-surgical recovery. She founded Fur de Lis Pet Care to bring professional, veterinary-trained in-home pet care to families across the Northshore who want total peace of mind while they are away, knowing their pets are receiving the highest standard of care. As the company grows, she looks forward to building a team that extends this level of care to more pet parents throughout the area.

Erica is CPR-certified through the RECOVER Initiative—the only CPR training program endorsed by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). This certification is grounded in the latest veterinary research and updated guidelines, ensuring the most current and effective life-saving techniques. She is also a Fear Free certified professional, dedicated to creating a calm, low-stress experience for every pet she cares for.
