Special Care Pet Sitting
Our Special Care visits are designed for pets recovering from surgery or managing chronic health conditions that require extra attention. Whether your pet needs post-operative exercise restriction, comfort monitoring, or specialized care throughout the day, we follow your veterinarian’s instructions while providing a calm, safe environment for recovery.
We also provide care for pets who need insulin injections, oral medications, or supplements that require precise timing and technique. With our extensive veterinary training, we’re able to safely support pets with more advanced needs so that you can relax and enjoy total peace of mind.
Our Special Care visits are designed for pets recovering from surgery or living with chronic health conditions that require close attention. Whether your pet needs a calm, quiet environment during recovery, strict activity restriction to help healing, or someone to monitor their comfort throughout the day, we’re there to support them. We’ll keep a close eye on your pet, follow your veterinarian’s post-op/medical management instructions, and provide updates so you can feel confident they’re in the best hands.
We also offer care for pets with medical needs like insulin injections, oral medications, or supplements that require precise timing and technique. All medications must be provided by you, along with dosing instructions from your vet. Our extensive veterinary training gives us the unique ability to safely provide these more advanced needs.

Some pets have special care needs that require more time than our standard visit windows allow. Special Care visits are available in 60-minute sessions. For pets needing continuous care beyond one hour, extended care starts at $36 per hour, up to 20 hours, at which point care transitions to a Live-In Stay.
Extended care beyond one hour is based on availability.

For dogs we require at least three (3) visits per 24-hour period that owners are out of town.
If repeated accidents are found, we may increase the number of visits to ensure your pet’s comfort.
Puppies under 12 months follow a different protocol — please see our Puppy Policy below.
Cats & Small Pets:
For cats and other small pets, we require a minimum of one (1) visit per 24 hour period.
We do not offer services for:
Dangerous or venomous animals
Animals with a history of aggression towards humans or biting (applies to all species)
Outdoor poultry, horses, or livestock (including chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, cattle, etc.)

(These guidelines may also apply to senior dogs with limited bladder control.)
For puppies between 6 and 16 weeks old, we recommend visits every 3–4 hours, including an overnight stay to support house training and reduce the risk of accidents. These can be a mix of longer 30-minute+ visits and brief 15-minute potty breaks.
For puppies aged 17 weeks to 6 months, we suggest visits every 4–5 hours, including both an early morning and late evening visit. A combination of full visits and shorter potty breaks usually works best.
