Vacation Pet Sitting
Fur de Lis Pet Care provides professional in-home pet sitting for pet owners who are traveling or away from home. Backed by extensive veterinary training, our team delivers expert, one-on-one care that keeps your pet safe and comfortable in the familiar surroundings of their own home while you are gone. Each visit is built entirely around your time away and may include feeding, fresh water, supervised backyard time, play and companionship, accident clean-up, litter box scooping (if requested), enclosure or tank maintenance, and light home oversight such as bringing in mail, watering plants, and adjusting lights and blinds.
Our standard visit windows are:
Morning Visits: 8am-10am
Mid-Morning Visits: 10am-12pm
Afternoon Visits: 12pm-4pm
Dinner Visits: 4pm-7pm
Night Visits: 7pm-8:30pm
Need extra care? We also offer early morning (7–8 AM) and late-night (9 PM–11 PM) visits for an additional fee.
Would your pet be more comfortable with someone staying overnight with them? Visit our Overnight Pet Sitting page to learn more about our extended stay options!
Dogs:
For dogs without access to a doggy-door, we require at least three (3) visits per 24-hour period that owners are out of town.
Dogs with reliable doggy door access need at least two (2) daily visits.
If repeated accidents are found, we may increase the number of visits to ensure your pet’s comfort.
Puppies under 12 months follow a different protocol — please see our Puppy Policy below.
Cats & Small Pets:
For cats and small animals, we require a minimum of one (1) visit per 24 hour period. Please see our Cats & Small Pets page for more information.
We do not offer services for:
Dangerous or venomous animals
Animals with a history of aggression or biting (applies to all species)
Outdoor poultry, horses, or livestock (including chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, cattle, etc.)
-
(These guidelines may also apply to senior dogs with limited bladder control.)
For puppies between 6 and 16 weeks old, we recommend visits every 3–4 hours, including an overnight stay to support house training and reduce the risk of accidents. These can be a mix of longer 30-minute+ visits and brief 15-minute potty breaks.
For puppies aged 17 weeks to 6 months, we suggest visits every 4–5 hours, including both an early morning and late evening visit. A combination of full visits and shorter potty breaks usually works best.
We’re happy to work with you to design a schedule that fits your puppy’s age, routine, and potty training progress!
