Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

Fur de Lis Pet Care is hiring part-time Pet Care Specialists to join our Krewe. You will provide in-home pet sitting visits and dog walking across select areas of the Northshore.

This role is rewarding, and it requires consistency, professionalism, and physical stamina.

We care for healthy dogs, cats, and small pets, as well as pets with chronic health conditions or recovering from surgery. All care is delivered under veterinary trained oversight to uphold the highest standards of in-home pet care.

As a dog walker and pet sitter, you will provide drop-in visits and dog walks for our clients in their homes. There is a lot of variability in our work as every pet and every family has different needs. This role requires a lot of driving, and your schedule will vary with no guaranteed hours.

Applicants must be consistently available between 10 AM and 4 PM at least three days per week to be considered.

Additional pet sitting opportunities may be available during the following hours. Availability during these timeframes is preferred but not required:

  • Morning: 7 AM–10 AM

  • Evening: 4 PM–10 PM

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

  • Position Requirements

    • Must reside in our service area: Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville, Abita Springs, or Lacombe, Louisiana.

    • Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement).

    • Have a valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle in good working condition.

      • Maintain personal auto liability insurance meeting Louisiana's minimum requirements (15/30/25).

    • Have a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and visit updates.

    • Weekend and holiday availability is required.

    • Be able to pass a federal background check.

  • Pay Structure

    (average pay with hourly pay + gratuity)

    • Starting pay: Approximately $15/hr

    • Additional holiday pay for qualifying assignments.
